She's on her way

C left for Finland today. She'll be gone a little over two weeks, speaking at the European student film festival and traveling up to Kuhmo to do research for her thesis project. It'll be a long two weeks for me and the furballs back here in Regina. Sniff.

Check out this cool map she made of the different cities and towns she's gonna be visiting.

(not to scale)

We got a few centimetres of snow early that morning. It was the first time it had snowed in a few weeks, which was too bad because most of what was on the ground already had pretty much melted all away.

"Come on, take me to the airport! Finland can't be as cold as Regina."

The snowy conditions delayed her flight a little after she boarded because they had to de-ice the wings. Cool. I've never seen that done before. I mean, I've heard stories and all.

"Hey buddy, ya missed a spot! Hello! ... hey... hey come back!"

Anyway, the next couple weeks I'll be posting a lot of pictures of the pets (I apologize in advance), per C's request. Here are the first couple which I took the night before she left. She was training for wearing her backpack.

"Giddy-up, little doggies!"

Whenever I look at these I'm amazed at the miracles of spine surgery.

Have fun C! We miss you a bunch! Can't wait to hear about your adventure!
