Andrew arrives

Today Andrew Britt flew in from the Bay Area! He's going to be the DP (Director of Photography) --or DOP as they say up here in Canada-- for C's movie. As some of you know, Andrew is the Animation & Visual Effects (AVE) program director at Expression College for Digital Arts, where C and I used to work. He was our boss, yo. He's got a degree in film from NYU so he's totally qualified to shoot her movie.

Andrew: "God, what have I gotten myself into?"

It was great to see Andrew again. He seems fresh and ready for the challenge!

Has anyone ever looked so happy to be in Regina before?

Once Andrew got settled in, we headed over to the Cathedral Freehouse to meet up with Don who will play Tom Sukanen, and Kevin and Dauminique who will be the Assistant Art Director and Line Poducer respectively.

Who wants to make a movie?

After beer and some dinner, the team began to gel. I think this'll be a fun crew to work with. After dinner it was time to get to work. We headed home and C and Andrew went over the shoot schedule for the next two weeks.

Let's get with the collaboratin'!

The shoot starts the day after tomorrow (gulp!), but tomorrow we're going to take Andrew to a few of the set locations so he'll be a bit more familiar with the surroundings he'll be dealing with.
